Retirement age doesn't necessarily mean retirement. Make that money!

After you turn 65, your employer is no longer obligated to contribute, but there is one exception. If you joined KiwiSaver when you were 60 or over and before July 2019, a 5 year minimum membership applies. During this time your employer has to contribute unless you opt out of KiwiSaver.
The government also doesn't have to contribute after you turn 65.
