Returns are the profits investors receive from their investments; they are the reason most people invest in the first place.

But returns are only half the picture; the gains you make in your KiwiSaver account are returns less the fees you're charged by your Provider. So when we analyse funds, we look at returns after fees.

Past returns aren't a guarantee of future success, and there are heaps of other factors we consider when recommending you a fund. These include your goals and risk tolerance, volatility, ethics and sustainability.

So to answer your question, we won't blindly switch you to the fund with the highest returns. We'll switch you to a better one.
